JUST CURIOUS....I have been going to local track and trying to get the best times I can. The problem is traction...I have a bone stock twin 5pd, motor has about 50,000mi on it My first run was 15.8 @ 97mph(spun all the way down the track) 2nd run was 15.3 at 98mph(no launch almost stalled)third run 14.6 at 98mph( 2000 rpms gently squeezing throttle until rolling) I really cant see getting good times with street tires..what kind of tires are you track goers who are in 13's using? Drag radials? Slicks? Ive seen time slips with same mph in 13s and low 14s I Know where I should be....whats the secret on getting there?
